Lei Kang received the Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2010. His post-doctoral research experience includes IEMN, Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France (2010-2011), Liquid Crystal Institute, Kent State University (2011-2012) and LAPO, Georgia Institute of Technology (2012-2014). He is currently an Associate Research Professor in the Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Lab (CEARL) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Kang’s research interests include metadevices at both RF and optical frequencies, nanophotonics, and nonlinear optics. He has published over 90 journal articles and has authored 1 book and 4 book chapters. He is a member of the IEEE and the OSA.
