Isaac was born in Walnut Creek, California, but grew up near Omaha, Nebraska where he lived until 2014. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College in 2018, with minors in Physics and Computer Science. After graduating, Isaac moved to Washington State where he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Chief Joseph Dam, the 2nd largest hydroelectric dam in the US. There he managed several capital upgrade projects, with a particular focus on data collection and control system design and programming. Isaac holds a Professional Engineer license in the states of Pennsylvania and Washington, which he initially received in 2024. Isaac joined CEARL in 2025, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Douglas Werner.
Isaac usually spends his spare time woodworking, model-making, or tinkering with custom electronics in his home shop. He also enjoys board games and science fiction books, as well as outdoor activities like hiking and backpacking.
