Donghoon Kim 

Donghoon Kim was born and raised in Daejeon, Korea.

He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from KOREATECH. Before joining CEARL, he conducted research on wireless power transfer systems and antenna design, with an emphasis on electromagnetic field analysis and optimization techniques.

Donghoon joined CEARL in 2026 and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Douglas H. Werner. His research interests include computational electromagnetics and antenna design, with a particular interest in applying optimization techniques and machine learning to electromagnetic design.

Outside of research, Donghoon enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing Janggi (Korean chess).
