Arkaprovo Das received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2017. He is currently working as an Assistant Research Professor at Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Laboratory (CEARL), Department of Electrical Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA, USA), from December 2025. His current research interests include space-time modulated systems in electromagnetics, electrically small antennas, electromagnetic-circuit co-simulation methodologies, computational electromagnetic modeling approaches for electromagnetic scattering from arbitrary shaped and sized obstacles, etc. He was also associated as a postdoctoral scholar at CEARL in his previous affiliation. Prior to his appointment at CEARL, he was working as a co-founder and Principal R&D Engineer at Simyog Technology Pvt. Ltd. At the company, he was one of the architects of the core electromagnetic solver technology embedded inside commercial Simyog products.
Dr. Das has co-authored several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences and is a co-inventor in one US patent. He is also a senior member of IEEE and International Union of Radio Science (URSI) and a life-member of Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES). He is currently serving as a guest editor of a special section for IEEE Open Journal on Antennas and Propagation (OJAP). Additionally, he is currently serving/has previously served as a reviewer of Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Partner Journal- Computational Materials, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, IEEE Access, IEEE Letters on Electromagnetic Compatibility Practice and Applications, IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, ACES journal, etc. He has also served as a session chair and organizer for several ACES and APS-URSI symposiums. Dr. Das has been a part of the Technical Program Committee for many international conferences including IEEE EDAPS, IEEE IMaRC, Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS), etc. From April 2017 – November 2020, he held the position of secretary of the IEEE Electronic Packaging Society, Bangalore Chapter. He is also the recipient of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Fellowship Award (2023) and IEEE Bangalore Section Young Technologist of the Year Award (2019).
