1. Students who apply for the grant must be the first year graduate students in Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy Program from Faculty of Natural Resources Prince of Songkla University Hat Yai. Or one who has thesis topics in related field of agricultural biotechnology under the consent of CoE-ANRB committee. The area of research topics is as following;
Enzyme Technology, Probiotic, Prebiotic and Peptide
Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture
Mutation and In Vitro Mutagenesis
Cell/ Cell Line Breeding via Biotechnological Methods
Genetic Engineering and Genetically Modified Organisms
Creation of Biodiversity via Biotechnological Methods
Utilization of Microorganisms, Bio agents and Natural Products in Increment of Agricultural Productivity
Secondary Metabolite Production from Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture
Marker Assisted Selection, Improvement, Genetic Detection and Bioinformatics
2. Students can apply for the grant through the endorsement of advisor.
o Non-defended proposal students: Advisors can nominate students by offering thesis topics and thesis frameworks for application and consideration.
o Defended proposal students: Advisors can nominate students by attachment GS.2 form together with revised proposal.
3. Students selected by the CoE-ANRB committee will be granted within 2-years as following;
o Grant for graduate student
100,000 baht for Master degree students to be paid in 4 periods, each 25,000 baht
· Sign agreement
· Defend thesis already
· Progress in doing research more than 50%
· Send thesis book and manuscript (MS) for publishing in academic journal
120,000 baht for Doctoral degree students to be paid in 4 periods, each 30,000 baht
· Sign agreement
· Defend thesis already
· Progress in doing research more than 50%
· Send thesis book and manuscript (MS) for publishing in academic journal
o 50,000 baht for researcher for both MS and Ph.D. students who get the other sources. The grant will be paid in 3 periods as following;
· 20,000 baht for sign agreement
· 20,000 baht for send progress in doing research more than 50%
· 10,000 baht for send thesis book and manuscript (MS) for publishing in academic journal
4. The framework of expense
o Tuition fee, monthly expense travel expense for presentation of research results and public utilities and communication.
o Research materials include chemicals, glassware, materials and equipment related to research, activity.
5. List of advisors and thesis topic must be in accordance with the application form. If there are any changes it must be informed the director of CoE-ANRB phase 3 for further consideration.
6. During granting grantee must put hard attempt to study in his/her own field. The grantee will study full time and participate in academic activities sponsored by the grantor regularly until completion of study.
7. The grantor can terminate the scholarship if the study results or the researchers’ result is not satisfactory or the grantee presents false documents or false information.
8. The grantee must submit a thesis progress report and study result every semester. The average grade points are not less than 3.00 and participate in all activities as specified by CoE – ANRB phase 3.
9. Within 45 days from completion of the scholarship program, the grantee must submit a Thesis 1 and publication (publish in scientific journals or academic conferences).
10. The grantee must acknowledge the name of center of excellence in the presentation, thesis or dissertation that “This Thesis is partially supported by the Center of Excellence in Agricultural and Natural Resources Biotechnology (CoE-ANRB): phase 3, Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University”
11. In case that grantee cannot finish his/her education the grantor has authorize to make him/her returning grant in an equal amount of grant received from the grantor legally.
