Why Minecraft? Minecraft is a sandbox game, which means its focus is on creativity. Players can plan and build their own worlds using blocks. They can also explore other player-created worlds, craft new and fun items, and collaborate with friends. In my opinion, Minecraft is one of the strongest and most engaging tools educators have for creative collaboration!

Wait...Minecraft is Educational? Sure is! The "Power of Play" is one of the greatest tools an educator can utilize!

If Minecraft EDU is not installed on your Technology or classroom computer, please see Mr. Adams for installation assistance or download it from the Company Portal.

Fellow Parents and Educators: Minecraft Education Edition will work outside of school on personal devices, such as computers, phones and tablets. It is a free download (make sure it is the educational version, not the paid version) on most platforms.

Your student(s) need only to sign in with their PSD credentials (example below). Worlds created are saved in the cloud and tied to their accounts so the creativity and fun doesn't have to stop when technology class ends!

Google Credentials = Student ID (lunch number) and @psdschools.org
