Science Fair Rules
Students should complete all necessary components to their projects under the supervision of their adult sponsor.
1. Each student is only allowed to enter one project.
2. For team projects, each person must sign up with the same scientific question.
3. A research project may be a part of a larger study performed by professional scientists, but the project presented by the student must be only their own portion of the complete study.
4. Human participants must not be physically or mentally harmed, no testing of vertebrate animals, or use of potentially hazardous biological agents.
5. Introduction or disposal of non-native and/or invasive species (e.g. insects, plants, invertebrates, vertebrates), pathogens, toxic chemicals or foreign substances into the environment is prohibited.
6. Do not endanger yourself or others. Know how to safely handle and use any materials that could be harmful.

Ethics Statement
Scientific fraud and misconduct are not condoned at any level of research or competition. This includes plagiarism, forgery, use or presentation of other researcher’s work as one’s own and fabrication of data. Fraudulent projects will fail to qualify for competition and judges reserve the right to revoke recognition of a project subsequently found to have been fraudulent.
