Empty the washing machine & Place the bag into the EMPTY washing machine.
Open the bag - DO NOT freak out - it is normal for your shirt to look that way.
Wear gloves or use stainless steel tongs to unwrap your shirt and remove all rubber bands, etc. (The dye will still stain hands, clothes, carpets, pets, siblings, etc.)
3. Machine wash your shirt
Machine wash your shirt until you've washed out all the loose dye. This usually looks like:
Run a cold load in the washing machine with 1 tsp of liquid dishwashing soap (Dawn, Joy, etc.)
Run a warm load in the washing machine.
Run a hot load in the washing machine.
Tumble dry on low heat, removing your T-shirt just before it is completely dry.
4. Wear your shirt!
→ And now it can go in with the rest of your laundry - no fear!
