Social Studies Curriculum
Foundation of Learning: Most PSD students have been exposed to several units of Social Studies during their K-5 school years. For example, many PSD elementary schools have their 4th graders complete learning related to Colorado history. Many PSD fifth graders learn about the American Revolution.
Eighth Grade
U.S. History classes meet every other day for the duration of the school year. Standardized topics include: Geography, History, Civics (Government), and Economics. Scope of the course is colonization to reconstruction (1600s – 1870s). Topics include:
