Welcome to Literacy Skills! I am Mrs. Runyan and I will be your Literacy/Reading teacher this year. This class is designed to help you become the best reader, the best thinker, the best communicator possible. We will read lots of different texts, discuss our readings, write about what we are reading, while we increase our fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

Virtual Learning Expectations:

• You will attend all live classes.

• You must engage and participate during class time.

• You will produce work.

• You will earn grades through assignments, projects, quizzes, and discussions.

AND I WILL SUPPORT YOU ALONG THE WAY TO BE SUCCESSFUL!

Supplies You Need:

• A comfortable, quiet place to work,

• Your laptop,

• Notebook paper and pencil (most of the work will be done on your computer, but you may want to write as well),

• 1 book for independent reading,

• And most importantly, a positive attitude!
