Dear Parents and guardians,
I am so very sorry to miss this year's Back to School Night. I am in quarantine until 8/28 and I haven't even met half of my students yet!
My name is Petr (pronounced Peter) Holubar, students call me Señor Holubar. I am excited to teach your children Spanish, languages have been a passion of mine for few decades now.
Language acquisition methods have changed drastically over the past 5 - 10 years and our methods might seem very unfamiliar compared to your own MS and HS experiences. We rely heavily on something called "Comprehensible Input" . The goal here is to avoid the old phrase I hate to hear so much: "I took 4 years of Spanish in HS/ MS and I don't remember a thing."
