While this is my second year as a Viking, this will be my 13th year as a teacher. My first 10 years were spent in Casper, Wyoming where I grew up. I have taught stand-alone classes of grade 4th-6th as well as math and science classes for grades 6-8. I moved to Colorado two years ago and taught 5th grade at Zach Elementary but I am so excited that a space opened for me on the Viking ship. I love being outside and since I no longer have to worry about the Wyoming wind, I can finally enjoy winter again. I have been a nordic and alpine skier since I was about 5 years old, and as an adult I am learning to kayak, rock climb, and telemark ski. My goal as a teacher is to help students find their niche and know that they have the power to be awesome.
