Teacher's Message
Hello! Welcome to the Art Department at Fossil. My name is Karen Lemmon, and I am very excited to get to know my students!
This is my 26th year teaching art. My career began in Texas in 1996 and then 21 years ago, we moved to Ft. Collins where I taught at Blevins Middle School. I have been teaching at Fossil since it opened in 2004. This Art Department is like a member of my family, and I have loved working here!
I am so thrilled to be back in the studio with students again, and I look forward to working with my Design Foundations, Advanced Drawing, Pottery, and AP Art students to create some amazing memories and artwork. My office hours are during my planning period from 2:30-4:00 pm, M-F.
INTERESTED IN AP ART & DESIGN NEXT YEAR?
ATTENTION CURRENT JUNIORS! If you are interested in possibly taking AP Art & Design as a senior next year, please attend our lunch meeting on THURSDAY JANUARY 27th in room 245 AND fill out the application by following the link below. BOTH are required in order to be considered for the class and to receive a recommendation through Synergy. The application is due by Saturday, January 29th by midnight. I will complete my recommendations in Synergy by February 2, 2022.
