Services: I'm Dr. Kathleen Voelsing and I am a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. I specialize in evidence-based treatment of bipolar, depressive, anxiety, and psychotic disorders for patients 16 years and up. I have substantial experience with individuals struggling with addiction, trauma issues, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I am welcoming to LGBTQ and all races and religions. Extensively trained in psychiatric medication management, I target maximal benefit with the minimal amount of medication. I also provide medication management for substance abuse (including buprenorphine).
I provide thoughtful, integrated care for psychiatric and addiction issues. I emphasize both pharmacological and lifestyle interventions to support your recovery. We will work together to get you to your best self. I can prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone, etc.) for the management of opioid addiction.
I have a heartfelt empathy for clients struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. I have been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for the better part of a decade. This translates to understanding your struggles with any number of problems. These struggles are difficult but recovery IS possible!

Address: 6857 Paiute Ave

Services: All patients are treated with dignity and respect. Most of my patients require medical management solutions where both their medical issues and their psychiatric issues are coordinated and resolved. I actively work with my patients' internists/family practice/neurologists to coordinate care and develop a treatment plan. Patients are expected to be informed and to be involved in their care. All medications are carefully explained. I believe patients do best when they are engaged participants in their own care. Similarly, I actively encourage coordination with any patient that has their own therapist and want medication management only.
I treat all conditions that are in the realm of psychiatric/neurological diagnoses. Individuals with hard to diagnose conditions or multiple medical issues are welcome. I am well-versed in Lyme disease, mold, metabolic, and endocrine disorders. Consultations are typically at least 2 hours and each follow-up session is a full one hour.
I typically manage most medical, endocrine, and nutritional issues for my patients. More current treatment modalities include pharmacogenomics analysis, Ketamine treatment, Opioid office inductions, Suboxone treatment, office-based alcohol withdrawal customized treatment plans, and chronic pain treatments. House calls can be arranged. Difficult to treat patients can often be managed without hospitalization.
