Sixth grade Social Studies is a project based class. The projects emphasize research and presentation skills as outlined by the state. We focus on Ancient Civilizations up to 600 C.E. Over the course of the school year we will discuss the origins of different civilizations and religions. About once a quarter students will complete a research project focused on these civilizations. Each quarter students will choose a unique topic and they will work collaboratively to complete their projects as a class.
