I have taught all levels of Social Studies at Lincoln Middle School over the past 22 years. Even though sixth grade has only been my primary class for the last 8 or 9 years, it is my favorite class to teach. Sixth graders are a special group! I love their eagerness to learn and their growing maturity as students. Ancient History is also my favorite area of history. Frequently, my vacations take me to Europe where my wife and I encounter remnants of the Roman Empire. Also, several years ago, my family was able to live in Japan for a year where I gained valuable experience in the Japanese culture. We were also able to travel through parts of China, Vietnam and Korea. Hopefully my experiences breathe life into the classes.
