What did you discover about technology’s role in education?

Technology significantly enhances education by increasing access to diverse resources like eBooks, videos, and interactive tools. It supports differentiation by personalizing learning with platforms like Epic!, enhancing engagement through interactive content, promoting equity through assistive technologies, and fostering independence by encouraging students to take control of their learning. These technologies help students, including those with disabilities, participate fully in learning and build confidence and self-motivation.

How might you integrate these tools into your own teaching?

·Blooket can be used to review key concepts before quizzes or projects.

· Canva can be used as a creative assignment, where students create digital posters or infographics summarizing a topic.

· GoNoodle can be used as a SEL and movement activity, where students engage in activities like mindfulness or dance breaks.

· IXL can be used as skills practice, where students work on personalized ELA, or math skills during rotations or stations.

· Epic! Can be used as a literary focus, where students read a nonfiction book related to their current unit.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

I had a difficult time choosing five instructional technology tools for this assignment. I decided to go with tools that I have utilized before or that I have seen the students use. I believe these tools are excellent resources for teachers to utilize in the classroom. I also decided to go mostly with tools that can accommodate elementary students, seeing that is who I will be working with.
