GoNoodle is an educational platform that provides movement and mindfulness videos for children, particularly in grades K-6, to improve focus, behavior, and learning readiness. It features dance-alongs, yoga, guided exercises, breathing exercises, emotional regulation, and focus activities. GoNoodle integrates with academic subjects such Physical Education, SEL, Health, ELA, Science, and Math. It is suitable for elementary students with fun characters, music, and themes. It can be used for transitions, indoor recess, calming strategies, SEL lessons, morning meetings, and brain breaks during long work periods.

Example Classroom use of GoNoodle:

The “Feelings Check-In with GoNoodle” is a classroom activity teachers can use for K-3 students focusing on SEL. The activity involves a 10-minute mindfulness break, followed by a Feelings Check-In. Students identify their feelings using a feelings chart, and a calming GoNoodle video is played. After the video, students reflect on their feelings and any changes. The activity supports emotional regulation, provides a structured outlet, and encourages a positive classroom environment.

Assistive Technology:

The Interactive Whiteboard is an assistive technology tool that connects with GoNoodle, allowing students with physical, cognitive, or attention-related needs to visually engage with large, clear visuals and animation. This technology supports diverse learning styles and accessibility needs, aiding students with ADHD, autism, or sensory needs by providing structure and visual reinforcement. It also encourages participation for students who may struggle with traditional seated learning or verbal-only instruction.
