Curriculum

Common Learning Expectations

The documents below represent curriculum adjustments and prioritized content expected to be taught between September and the end of December. Additional curriculum guidance for the rest of the year is currently being modified and will be published here.

Social Emotional Learning

The district maintains a focus on the social emotional needs of students by building a robust classroom culture. Whether through a morning meeting, virtual circle, or teacher office hours, students need time to “see" each other, share, and connect. They also need opportunities for support, academic and social-emotional, from their teacher.

Teachers:

● Begin with social and emotional check-ins before engaging students in academic content.

● Encourage students to balance their online and offline lives.

● Encourage students to connect with one another outside of class.

● Assign a reasonable workload.
