Homeschool

PSAS Homeschool is a one day a week “enrichment” program. Our program is designed to supplement the independent homeschool parent’s curriculum. Our day starts at 8:15 AM and runs until 3:15 PM. Grades are set up as K/1, 2/3, 4/5 on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Middle school is Wednesday.

In the morning, each grade level will rotate through a series of three classes, art, science, and language art/communications. There will be a half hour lunch and then students rotate through another group of three classes, music, literature, and TEAMS. Our teams class incorporates teamwork with science, technology, engineering, art, math and music.

We will also have extracurricular activities on Fridays, such as field trips, tutoring, band, science fairs, art shows, Empty Bowls (a community service event to raise awareness for hunger) and other activities. You can participate in as much or as little of the Friday activities as you like. We will update info on Friday activities as they occur.

For the 2018-2019 school year, we will be starting school the week of September 10th.

IMPORTANT: Our program is designed to support the independent homeschool parent, it is not an online homeschool curriculum. Our program receives public funding, so if you are enrolled in another publicly funded program (like ACOVA, K-12, District 70 online, etc.) you are not eligible for our program. If you have questions regarding your eligibility, please contact Laura Miller at 719-404-2680 or lmiller@psas.ws.
