Vocabulary Curriculum: Get to the Root of It! -7th 100 Words Every Freshman Should Know - 8th

It has been estimated that up to 75% on the English language is derived from Greek and Latin roots; without a doubt, these roots are the building blocks of our language. Therefore, our class uses this curriculum to nurture the vocabulary development of our students.

After completion of this curriculum, the students will move on to a list of vocabulary words and definitions called "100 Words Every Freshman Should Know". I believe this curriculum is important to cover as they face making the challenging transition from middle school to high school.
