What are the school hours?
Students attend Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 2:20 PM (Kindergarten, First, and Second grades start dismissal at 2:10 PM).
Where can I find the school calendar?
The school calendar can be found in two places.

Where do I find information about the Montefiore Clinic?
The Montefiore Clinic offers FREE school medical services to all students who are registered. For more information regarding the clinic, a list of documents you need, or to download a registration form, please visit our Montefiore Clinic page.
When are the state exams?
For the 2019-2020 school year, the state tests are as follows:
ELA (Reading & Writing) - March 25th & 26th
Math - April 22nd & 23rd
Science (Grade 4 only) written - June 1st / performance - May 18th- 29th
What is the Cell Phone Policy?
Students are allowed to have their cell phones or other electronics in school, but they must remain turned off and stored out of sight during the day. P.S. 8 is not responsible for the theft, loss or damage to your child’s technology devices. To view or download the full policy, please click here.
When are the class assemblies?
The assembly schedule will be determined in September/October once the teachers have an opportunity to choose dates.
Is there an after-school program?
After-school programs at P.S. 8 are run by Beacon and Montefiore. For more information, please contact these programs, or visit the building after school hours and ask for a supervisor.
How do I complete my School Survey?
