I grew up in Bellerose Terrace, Long Island. I went to Queen's College for my undergraduate degrees in elementary education and history. I got my Master's degree in Special Education from C.W. Post, L.I.U. I have been teaching in the NYCDOE for 13 years. I love learning! I love being a part of my students' daily discoveries about themselves, each other, our community and the world. I spend my free time with family and friends, traveling around the world, reading and exercising.

I grew up on Long Island, in Holbrook, NY. I went to school in Sachem School District where I graduated from Sachem North Highschool. From there, I went to Suffolk Community College where I earned my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I then attended St. Joseph's College where I received my Bachelor's degree in Child Study. This is my first year working for the NYCDOE. What I love about my job is working with the students and the level of creativity that teaching allows me to have. I always look forward to meeting my students every year and getting to know each of their unique personalities. What I find most rewarding is the opportunity to see how much they've grown and learned throughout the school year and knowing that I was a positive part of that. In my free time I sometimes like to do craft projects. I like to find things that may be useless and turn them into something decorative and functional. I also love anything DIY or a really good "life hack". Anything simple that makes life easier.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I attended Brooklyn College where I received a Bachelors of Arts and majored in Early Childhood Education. After a year of teaching,I went back to school where I studied ESL education and received a Masters of Science from LIU. I've worked in NYCDOE for 14 years. What I love most about my job is that I get to work with kids and make their learning experience a memorable one. My goal as an educator is not only teach the skills that will help them succeed in life, but to also make it fun. I spend my free time watching movies with my husband and taking long walks with my dog Pancakes.
