I have been teaching for over seven years, and four of them have been here at PS 214. Although I have taught a variety of grade levels, this school year will be my third year in 3rd grade. I love teaching third grade, and as a student, it was my favorite grade! I have a background in both general education and special education. I believe that learning should be fun, exciting, and meaningful for students of all ages. In my classroom, I encourage students to participate in hands on learning that will help them not only explore new things, but create memories. Most importantly, my goal for students is to take learning outside of the classroom, and understand that they can learn something new everyday.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and dog, they are the most important part of my life. I also love to travel, cook/bake, read, and try new things. I was born and raised in Queens. New York will always be my home, but I also love to travel to new places around the world. My favorite spots have been Alaska, Costa Rica, Italy, and many others. I love sharing my love for adventure with my students.
This year, I am looking forward to meeting my new students and seeing how they grow throughout the year. Third grade is an important year, with many new challenges. However with hard word and commitment, I know it will be a great year. I also look forward to my class making memories together they can take with them after this year.
