Hello, my name is Lisa Garafola. My educational experience includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from King’s College (PA), a Masters degree in General Education Grades 1-6, and several credits towards Special Education Master’s Degree in Grades 1-6 from Molloy College. I hold a Professional license in General Education and Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6, along with a Certificate in Children’s Literature. I have taught for over ten years and I absolutely love the career path I have chosen.
My goals as a teacher are to help students build and learn skills to become a well rounded citizen and member of society. I intend to work with all of my students and show them how to use strategies to maximize their learning. Students in my class will be fully engaged to ensure self confidence and success.
Outside of my school day I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 2 young children. We love making memories at the park, riding bikes on a new bike path, and trying out new restaurants. My daughter loves crafts and my son loves play-doh, so I often find myself at Michael’s Craft store.
I am excited for a new year, and more excited to see the growth of the students’ learning from September to June! I look forward to a great year.
