Program Description

The science program at PS 214 provide students with opportunities to develop understandings and skills necessary to live as problems-solvers in the increasingly scientific and technological world. In addition, students engage in scientific inquiry as observers and explorers who ask questions, predict, conduct experiments, reach conclusions, analyze data and communicate their discoveries. It is the goal of the program to develop students into thinkers and future scientists.

P.S. 214 Annual Science Fair

Students participate in a Science Fair where students follow the Scientific Process and conduct their own experiment. The Science Fair is a day of celebration of students hard work and achievement in completing a full science project. All students in grades three to five participate. Winners are selected and recognized with a medal. The Science Fair is held on the day of the March Parent Teacher Conference.
