Powder River Symphony

The Powder River Symphony is an ensemble founded on the belief that great music should be available to everyone. Dedicated to serving the citizens in northeast Wyoming, the mission of the orchestra is to enrich the cultural lives of adults, expand the musical horizons of children and provide an outlet for the creative talents of musicians in the region by performing for an expanding audience. The ensemble provides opportunities for members of the community, young and old, to develop a lifelong relationship with music and the orchestra.

“Vienna New Year” – Sunday, January 12, 2020 – 3:00 PM

Strauss waltzes, polkas, gallops and more! A special performance by Bruce Barrie, trumpet.

“The Czech Connection” – Sunday, March 8, 2020 – 3:00 PM

Featuring the Richard Kravchek, oboe and Genie Burkett, timpani.

“All-American Mother's Day” – Sunday, May 10, 2020 – 3:00 PM

Highlighting American composers Robert Ward, Morton Gould and Howard Hanson.

All performances take place in the Thunder Basin High School Auditorium
