Please watch this video for an overview of our STEM Fair
Our STEM Fair is your chance to experiment and create something cool!
Everyone is allowed to participate. Older grades have the opportunity to compete in the District STEM Fair and more!
What is S.T.E.M?
STEM is the focused, interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creative problem solving, and requisite skills that are rigorously applied and integrated with real-world lessons.
The 4 Main Competitions
At Spring Creek, we will be holding our Annual STEM Fair where ALL grades are welcome to participate. There will be one winner chosen for each grade! The top ten 5th and 6th grade projects will be encouraged to compete at the district level. You can compete individually, or in a group of 2 or 3 total members.
5th and 6th graders have the option to apply and have their project compete in the Provo District STEM Fair.
The District STEM Fair will be held on February 12, 2024 at Centennial. You must have a District Form submitted to Mrs. Kempter, so that she can send them to the District Judges.
5th and 6th grade students who compete at the district level may have the opportunity to continue into the Regional STEM Fair, which is called the Central Utah STEM Fair (CUSEF).
For 2024, the CUSEF will be held on March 18th and 19th, 2023. Registration is due by February 23rd.
5th and 6th grade students who compete at the regional level may have the opportunity to continue to the National STEM Fair, known as Broadcom Masters.
When
Our STEM Fair will be held on February 1st, 2024. Students will have the opportunity to visit the fair during their school day with their classes. That evening, all families are invited in participating in the STEM Fair!
Prizes
All participants will be entered into a drawing for some amazing S.T.E.M prizes! Participants will also receive a participation ribbon, certificate, and SWAG bag from our PTA!

This is not a place to demonstrate science experiments!
You may not bring any materials to the STEM Fair. This is an opportunity to research on your own, and then provide us your results.
