Celecoxib 400 mg PO

Heparin 5,000 U SQ

from PACU arrival until discharge – while in bed

Allow PO intake while in PACU

Immediately-Allow regular diet or patient specific diet if tolerating clears

Document all PO liquid and solid intake in Dimensions-please document type of diet being consumed

POD 0: 1x in hallway, OOB in chair

POD 1: 3-4x in hallway, OOB 6 hrs in chair or ambulating

POD 2: 4-6x in hallway, OOB 8 hrs in chair or ambulation

elevated 30 degrees at all times

10x/hr while awake

D/C if tolerating PO intake

If IVF needed, balanced crystalloid (LR) preferred over 0.9% NS

SCD usage while in bed or chair until discharge

D/C on or before POD 1

Tylenol 1,000 mg PO Q8 (Not ordered as "while awake")

Gabapentin 300 mg PO TID starting POD 0

Celebrex 200 mg PO Q12

Oxycodone 5-10 mg PO Q4 PRN

IV opioids for severe breakthrough pain

NO PCA unless necessary
