- PONV screening ***DOCUMENT PONV SCORE IN DIMENSIONS***
Ordered by anesthesia if needed/high risk
Scopolamine patch (high risk only)
Hold for >65 years of age
Hold for h/o acute angle glaucoma
- Patients on long-acting opioids
Take their home dose morning of surgery
- Multimodal analgesia-ordered by surgeon
Acetaminophen 1 g PO once
Gabapentin 600 mg PO once
Hold for patients >65 years
Norflex 100 mg PO
Celebrex 400 mg PO (do not order if Sulfa allergy)
