Phase I discharge criteria:

• • Stable airway and adequate ventilation

  • Cardiac and hemodynamic stability

  • Adequate pain control

  • Absence of nausea/vomiting

  • Normothermia

  • Alert and oriented

  • Surgical wound and dressing intact

  • Adequate volume status

Phase II discharge criteria:

• • Adequate pain control

  • Hemodynamic stability

  • Surgical wound/dressing intact

  • Ability to void

  • Safe transportation from facility

  • Knowledge of discharge instructions
