Basic Painting is an introductory course into the world of painting! Student artists will explore a variety of mediums of paint and material management. Students work with teacher demos and learn the basics of observational drawing and painting. Artists work from references.

Prerequisite: Art I or Honors Art I

Intermediate painting is a continuation of an exploration of painting. Student artists now have experience and comfortability with a variety of painting mediums. Artists  begin exploring more in depth techniques and get more opportunities to paint from their imagination.

Prerequisite: Basic Painting

Advanced Painting is the highest level of painting offered. Student artists continue to build and refine painting techniques, working in all media. Project prompts are open ended with few compositional requirements. Student voice is emphasized more.
