About the Course
This course is intended to address drawing, two-dimensional, or three-dimensional design through purposeful decision making using the elements and principles of art in an integrative way. Students spend the school year creating a portfolio that explores a Sustained Investigation or research inquiry. Through their portfolio they should demonstrate technical mastery, experimentation, and conceptual intent. Students should anticipate a minimum of four hours outside of school dedicated to their development. Art supplies and fees will be required.
Prerequisite: Grades 11-12
1 credit, AP/DC weighted GPA
Students enrolled in this course are required to submit a portfolio through College Board.
