UK Martial Arts Insurance
Martial Arts Independent UK
- MAIUK is run by me, Sensei Shaun Lanham 6th Dan.
- I have been teaching martial arts for many years. My ISMAA academy belongs to the major martial arts governing bodies.
- Disappointed by the amount of politics in the sport I decided to start an organisation that I would want to use, one devoid of politics. I am very pleased to see MAIUK grow steadily over the years.
- I am proud that MAIUK provides hassle free, politics free policies, giving martial arts clubs everything they need at a reasonable cost.
- MAIUK covers all style of Karate, Mixed Martial Arts, Kick boxing, Judo, Jujitsu, Kung Fu, Pilipino Martial Arts, Taekwondo. We are truly a Mixed Martial Arts Academy.
- If you do not see your style MAIUK will most likely cover it, please call or email.
- MAIUK can also help with club merchandise.
My aim is to give you as much or as little help as you need whether you are starting out or an established club wanting to transfer over to MAIUK.

Chris Lewis, Chief Instructor
I have been a member of M.A.I.UK since 2013. I joined after leaving a large Governing body and it was the best thing I ever did. M.A.I.UK is a non-political organisation, which means there is much more scope and opportunity for myself and my students to attend courses and competitions without any restrictions. Being a multi style organisation it also offers the chance to train with other Martial Arts to gain experience in different styles. Becoming a member of M.A.I.UK was extremely simple, and the benefits are excellent. You are left to run your clubs the way you want without any interference, but advice and assistance is only a phone call away. Instructors insurance and student’s insurance/licences can be obtained at a very reasonable cost, easily and very efficiently, which reduces the stress on the instructor, allowing them to concentrate their efforts on doing what they do best, teaching.
Mike Bushell, Martial Arts Academy
I have known Sensei Shaun for a very long time and I love his stance on zero politics martial arts. My academy enjoys the freedom that comes with being independent as we can compete in all competitions. Everything is very easy and any question is immediately addressed from the MAIUK team. Slips and books are send as soon as payment is made so there is no waiting around. Highly recommend.
