Responsibilities of the Department:

The Department is responsible for the legal works, including;

• to advocate new legislation from the Parliament
• to manage the Crown Prosecution Service
• to summit Government's proposed legislation to the Parliament
• to protect citizens from serious crimes

Emily Montgomery-Bain became the Minister of Justice on June 30th 2019. She is also responsible for Department of Finance since June, 2019. She was previously served as the Leader of Opposition from January 2019 to June 29th. 2019. She was elected as Member of Parliament in January 2019.
