Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
What do I need to participate in online courses?
You will need a good Internet connection and we recommend using a PC, laptop, tablet or iPad. Older mobile phones may not be suitable with less memory and older operating systems, though newer ones would be acceptable. We are planning to run short online sessions anyway before courses start to help you become familiar with learning online and to answer any technology questions.
If you don’t think you will be able to access online courses, but would still like to learn, please contact us as we may be able to send you useful information or link you in with other providers who can help. Email us via Adulteducation@wokingham.gov.uk, or telephone us on 0776 738 0722.
Help if you are at Home with Children
We know that many of our existing and potential learners are parents who will now have children at home so we have put together a number of resources that you may find helpful when home educating. Click the link here. Free educational websites for kids (PDF document)
It is very important during this time to look after your mental wellbeing as well as your physical wellbeing. We are aiming to deliver online courses to help you with this in the near future, but until them, you can find lots of helpful information and resources at Mind by clicking this link https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/coronavirus/coronavirus-and-your-wellbeing/
Keeping in Touch
The Adult Education Team and our sub-contractors will be contacting existing learners over the next few weeks to give you details of how you can complete courses which were suspended or postponed. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns please email us via Adulteducation@wokingham.gov.uk, or telephone us on 0776 738 0722
