Jalebi is the most popular sweet dish of India. This sweet is made in uneven swirls and is usually either dark yellow or any shade of orange ranging from very light to very dark. Usually eaten with curd or rabri in the Northern part of India (and at my place), people in the western part, specifically Gujarat, prefer to have it with Fafda (a popular crispy snack in the Gujarat cuisine). My dad bought it home when my bhabhi visited us here all the way from Dubai. The crystallized sugar coating just enhances my taste buds. I prefer having my Jalebis with curd. It's so piquant.
