NPR: News Source & a Broadcast Radio Station - I will be sharing news stories and podcasts with my students through this website many times during class. The purpose of sharing these stories and news articles is to provoke thinking among the students as to how media impacts us daily, the role the media industry plays in our lives, and the motivations of the media industry.
News Sources - Bias Chart: As we discuss news articles and podcasts, we will be using this chart in class to discuss bias and towards understanding what type of bias and why the sources that we rely on our information from are biased. (Their motivations, goals, etc.)
iMovie: I will introduce this software in class. iMovie is a program that students will be using to create their own media. For more information on iMovie, please click on the link.
BrainPOP: We may occasionally watch videos on the topics that we discuss in class using this website. Most students are familiar with this site because of their experience with BrainPOP in their school district.
