Here I again explore one of my favorite themes, namely, partially transparent face, through which we can see that it is hollow inside, save for burning eyes suggestive of a tormented soul.
I created this image previously. You can see how I made it here.
Using the above image, I used the Trimaginator app to produce this. I used the Scaffolder rendering style with white lines (these are choices in Trimaginator's lower left corner). These lines are going to form "strings" from which the hollow face will be constructed.
I will use this photo from Pixabay, a source of copyright-free images.
In iColorama in Effect/Distort, I distorted the Trimaginator image onto the woman.
I applied Style/Coherence to smooth the strings.
I applied Style/Flow for more smoothing, and Effect/Denoise for de-aliasing, to smooth jaggy lines that result from some process steps.
I applied Effect/Raise preset 1, to lighten and provide emphasis to the strings.
I used Brush/Paint with a hard brush and black paint to paint out holes where the eyes would be. I also painted the background black, and I painted away portions of the left side of her head.
I used Form/Warp to drag up the top right of the image to get rid of the dead space. I could have cropped, but I didn't want to lose the top left of her face.
I used Brush/Paint with a hard brush and black paint to paint away some parts of the right side of her head.
Now using Effect/Blend, in two separate Blend steps, I brought in eyes from another image, each time using an inverted brush mask.
For another version, I went back to an earlier step and applied one of the Style/Flow lower presets.
I applied Tone/Tint in Multiply mode for dramatic color.
I used Effect/Blend and an inverted brush mask to blend in some eye fragments from an earlier step. Then I brightened them using Adjust/Exposure and an inverted brush mask.
I applied Style/Flow to the glints to soften them, using an inverted brush mask. Then I un-inverted the mask and applied Effect/Raise to the rest of the face.
I again applied one of the lower Style/Flow presets.
I used Effect/Denoise to smooth in preparation for Effect/Raise, and then I applied Effect/Raise.
I sharpened in Effect/Sharpen.
I used Form/Warp to fix the area in the upper right. Then I cropped in Form/Crop.
I softened the color.
