I am a computer vision engineer at Apple's Depth-Sensing Israel (DSI) group, working on the estimation of depth maps in various Apple products.
Recently, I finished my Ph.D. studies in the Computer Sciences Faculty, Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, supervised by Prof. Michael Elad, working in the field of sparse signals estimation. Prior to that, I received my BSc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.E. in System Engineering, both with honors, from the Technion in 2009 and 2015 respectively.
Before my academic research, I served for 7 years in the Israeli Defense Intelligence (IDI) and a year in the cyber-security industry in various positions, including Digital Communications Engineer, Digital Communications and Signal Processing R&D Team Leader, Machine Learning Researcher, and more.
Throughout the years I have seen that whatever seems impossible is just waiting to be resolved by the creativity and strong will of bright researchers.
My current research involves (but is not limited to):
Depth estimation in monocular, stereo, and multiview settings as well as active sensors
Image and signal processing
Sparse theory and convolutional sparse codes (CSC)
Inverse problems
Bayesian estimation
Machine learning and deep learning
My Ph.D. seminar, which was presented on July 13th 2021, is available here.
