What is Wellness?
Also known as well-being, UC Davis states that wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. Wellness is not only exercising and eating a healthy diet. Many organizations and institutes have adopted their own dimensions of wellness, ranging from 6 to 8 dimensions. The dimensions of wellness include, but are not limited to, spiritual, physical, emotional, career, intellectual, environmental, and social. In the dimensions, it is often seen that financial wellness is included.
