Many communities of color have historic understands of gender and sexuality that often lives only in the cultural context and language of that community. The language of the Queer community also has expanded and shifted as new ways to describe already existing identities become more mainstream: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Pansexual, Intersex, Asexual, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-binary, Fluid, Expansive, and more.
