Welcome to SummerMADE, a two week summer program offering Marin Academy current and incoming high school students a hands on opportunity in Design and Engineering. Each student will preselect a design/engineering project from a list (or design their own) and will have two weeks to build. The program will conclude with an evening of student presentations for families and the public. Projects will offer students experience with robotics and electronics, design/build techniques from physical to digital and project management. Students will learn and work with a variety of tools, from hand tools, power tools, 3D printers, laser cutter, soldering, microcontrollers, digital 2D and 3D design and computer programming. Lunch sessions will include guest speakers from science, design and engineering fields who will share their work and offer students feedback and insights on their projects-in-progress.

This program is open to all levels of background and experience.
