Hello, my name is Brandon Smith. I am a Resource Specialist here at Village Oaks High School.
A bit about me: I was born in Stockton, CA. I have lived here a majority of my life. I attended Village Oaks as a child, when it was an elementary school. I then attended Lincoln High School I moved to Sacramento in 2009, where I attended CSU Sacramento and earned my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Prior to coming over to LUSD, I worked for the California Department of Corrections Division of Juvenile Justice. I was also a substitute teacher for a local Charter School the previous 3 years. I currently just graduated from Teachers College of San Joaquin, where I was pursuing my teaching credential.
On my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I bbq and go camping as much as possible during the summer months. I enjoy spending time with friends and doing fun things like going to concerts and festivals. I also have a passion for riding motorcycles, Ive been riding for over 10 years, so if I am not teaching, and the weather is nice, Im probably on my Dyna. I have a wonderful girlfriend, who is also a Special Education teacher in Sacramento.
Lastly, I would like to leave you with this quote from the late great Robin Williams "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always." - Robin Williams Aka Peter Pan.
