Year Four had the incredible privilege of welcoming Edward Morello, MP for West Dorset, to The Prince of Wales School as part of UK Parliament Week!
Edward met with our Year Four pupils and School Council members, who asked him some brilliant questions, including:
How long have you been a Member of Parliament?
Why did you decide to become a Member of Parliament?
How did you become a Member of Parliament?
What is the hardest decision you have had to make in Parliament?
How often do you go to Parliament (Westminster)?
What happens if there is a disagreement in Parliament?
What was your favourite lesson at school?
And perhaps the most important question of all… What is your favourite dip to put on chips? (Edward is a red sauce man! 🍅)
Our pupils were inspired by Edward’s insights and stories, sparking curiosity and deepening their understanding of how Parliament shapes our country.
The thoughtful questions from our School Council showed just how engaged and inquisitive our young learners are.
A huge thank you to Edward for taking the time to visit and for sharing his passion for democracy with us. This memorable experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on our pupils!
