There is a big push in the news at the moment that is about repairing and upcycling items. We are lucky to live in an area where it is fairly easy to get into London and explore the amazing skyline. Structures such as The Shard, The Gherkin and The Oxo Tower. There are also hundreds of different structures around the world that are really eye catching. Understanding about how the concept of the structure came about, who the architect is, what materials have been used, and the environment they stand in can enable us to build an understanding about materials and design that prepares us for GCSE, A-level and beyond!
