I have prepared for events (crafts, camp outs, lessons) since I was 14 . In other words for a very long time. Over the years, I have programmed activities for girls and for boys camps, for Sunday school settings, Scout outings and activities on individual, pack, troop and district levels, and have been an for Instructor Community Ed.

It is interesting to search out ideas and follow through with the plans. All that interest led me back to college for a degree in Early Childhood Family Education. I believe in open-ended creation. This means the ideas are presented, the materials are shown and from there, the child creates. We are never too young or too old to learn and participate!

It is truly a joy to see the expressions of the child as they use the materials to create something unique ! The child's parent or caregiver is always welcome to stop by or stay in the class!

Renata Remington

I am an artist and registered nurse. I live in Pine River with my husband and have one son. I have been drawing and painting since I was 8. I have taken art classes throughout all of my school years and minored in art in college.

Drawing/Painting is my meditation and hobby and what I love to do. I paint all different kinds of things and on any surface.

Why do I teach- I would like to show other people it is possible to draw and paint when they feel they can only do stick figures. Everyone can do art, its an expression of yourself and how you see the world no matter what it looks like.

Com Ed- Community education helps people share their talents with the community. Its fun to learn new things and community education helps people learn those new things close to home and for minimal cost.
