RARE BOOK STUDY: MOSES COOK MANNER OF RAISING, ORDERING, AND IMPROVING FOREST & FRUIT TREES

For Rare Books, I studied a late 17th century rare book on silviculture by Moses Cook in great detail for the final project. As this class was held virtually, we made use of digital resources. My assigned book was accessed via HathiTrust using North Carolina State University's digitized copy.

In my final report, I addressed the materiality of the book: collation formula, binding, paper, type elements, and design attributes. I also summarized my historical findings and expanded upon my analytical and descriptive bibliography in my presentation, seen below
