The highest priority of School Education System is acquisition of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy for Grade 1-3 by 2026-27. For achieving this, National Mission on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy called NIPUN Bharat has been launched under Atmanirbhar Bharat. Taking this initiative further, NIPUN Himachal has also been initiated in February, 2022.
