D2L Quizzes provide data about student performance that can help you evaluate student learning, collect data for program assessment purposes, and reflect on your teaching.
To see exam data, click the down-arrow next to the title of the quiz or exam, and select "Statistics."
The tab for "User Stats" shows:
the average exam score
the standard deviation
a bell curve of the results.
The tab for "Question Stats" shows the following data for each question:
the percent correct
the standard deviation
the discrimination index
the point biserial.
What do all of these measures mean? See the image below for a short description.
The tab for "Question Details" shows how many students selected each answer choice. This will encourage instructors to reflect on the design of the question and answer choices.
